Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes.

The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them.

About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They invent. They imagine. They heal. They explore. They create. They inspire. They push the human race forward.

Maybe they have to be crazy.

How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art? Or sit in silence and hear a song that’s never been written? Or gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels?

We make tools for these kinds of people.

While some see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.

クレイジーと呼ばれる人達がいる。不適応者、反抗者、トラブルメーカーと呼ばれる人達たち。四角い穴に丸い杭を刺すような物事をまるで違う目で見る人達たち。

違った見方で物事を見る連中。彼らは規則を好まない。現状維持なんて毛頭も考えていない。彼らの言葉を引用することも、同意しないこともできるし、奴らを持ち上げることも、こき下ろすこともできる。

おそらく唯一君ができないことは、連中を無視することだ。奴らは物事を変えるのだから。連中は発明し、想像し、癒し、探究し、創造し、ひらめきを与える。奴らは人類を前進させるのだ。

きっと奴らは、いかれずにはいられなかったのだろう。

そうするほかに、真っ白なカンバスに芸術作品を見いだす術はあるのか? 沈黙の中に誰も書いたことがない歌を聴く術はあるのか? 赤い惑星を見つめて車輪付きの研究室を考え出す術はあるのか?

私たちは、そういう種類の人間のための道具を作っている。

彼らをいかれた連中と見る人もいるが、私たちはそこに天才を見ている。世界を変えられると考えるくらいいかれた人々は、世界を変えていく人たちなのだから。
